Veterans Day is designed for citizens in the United States to express appreciation for every individual who has served in our armed forces. During the course of our establishment, our senior living community in Los Angeles has been home to many veterans from nearly every branch of the military including the Navy, Marines, Army, and Air Force. We appreciate the service of our veteran residents and of all veterans. There are many ways to show your appreciation for veterans including raising an American flag, attending gatherings, or asking a veteran about their service. Many people aren’t aware that there are numerous military holidays throughout the year. In fact, tomorrow on November 10, the United States Marine Corps will celebrate its 242nd birthday. If you know a veteran who served in the Marine Corps, be sure to thank them for their service and mention their branch’s birthday.
